Job Summary:
The Ecofarms is seeking a diligent and passionate Farm Manager to manage the farm and farm staff. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team of farm workers, in-depth knowledge of modern farming techniques, Track record of developing and implementing farm production plans, crop rotation schedules, and harvest timelines to maximize yield.
Eligibility and Competence:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Farm Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Proven Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in farm management, with a track record of successfully overseeing crop production, livestock, or mixed farming operations.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team of farm workers, with references confirming effective staff management and conflict resolution.
Financial Acumen: Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation, with a history of improving farm profitability or efficiency.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of modern farming techniques, soil management, irrigation systems, and pest control; experience with sustainable or organic farming practices is highly desirable.
Planning and Organization: Track record of developing and implementing farm production plans, crop rotation schedules, and harvest timelines to maximize yield.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with farm management software (e.g., FarmLogs, AgriWebb) and basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
References: At least three professional references attesting to managerial competence, agricultural expertise, and results-driven performance.
